Easter Week Countdown: Maunday {Last Supper} Thursday

Palm Sunday

Monday: Jesus cleans out the temple

Tuesday: Jesus anointed with expensive oil/perfume

Wednesday: Jesus teaching people

Thursday: Passover (the Last Supper)

We had a very simple celebration of Passover and the last supper. I bought Hawaiian bread that comes in the big round loaf, and I poured some flavored drink I already had in the fridge into a plastic goblet – so we just had the Communion part of the last supper…

I read from the Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes as well as the words of Jesus from the passage in Luke 22:14-20, about the wine being His blood and the bread being His body. Pen Elaine loved our special snack; she even got to dip the bread into the drink. Afterwards, I tried to add in a Passover tradition of reading/singing Psalms 114-118 (the Great Hallel/praise), but Pen Elaine had pooped out by then – the food was gone.

Psalm 118:29

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
